MOT pass rate rankings

Side-by-side rankings from 58 million real DVSA tests. Only models with 10,000 or more tests are included, so the numbers are statistically robust. Filter by vehicle type to compare like with like. Motorcycles, vans and cars have very different failure profiles.

Remember: MOT pass rate reflects testable safety items: lights, brakes, suspension, tyres, emissions. It doesn't cover engine reliability, gearbox issues, electrical faults, or anything the examiner can't see or measure on the day. Age and mileage matter enormously. For a fairer comparison, check first MOT results where we compare cars at the same age.

Across all vehicle types, the Bentley Continental Gt leads at 96.8%. The Peugeot 307 trails at 61.5%. That's a 35.3 point gap.
